As you know, our community and the country has suffered significant impacts due to the COVID-19 pandemic which has forced us to make several changes to our soccer programs. This update will cover details on Spring 2020 Recreational Soccer , Summer Camps, 2020-2021 travel tryouts, and the spring 2020 travel season, details on each are listed below:
1. Spring Recreational / In House Soccer (pre-K through 8th grade) - due to the statewide lockdown which currently runs until May 15 and the federal government guidelines which have outlined a multi-phase approach to restore activities, we sadly must cancel our spring recreational programs. We will be issuing 100% refunds to everyone who has registered. This is a manual process that we will be managing, and as such will take several weeks to process hundreds of refunds with a small number of volunteers. Everyone will receive a refund back to their original payment method no later than May 15.
2. Summer Camps - we originally planned for one week of summer camp in early July and two weeks at the end of August. We are canceling our first session and, for now, proceeding as planned for the August camps. Registration is currently open. To the extent that we are unable to hold August camps, anyone who signs up will receive a 100% refund.
3. 2020/21 travel tryouts - usually these are held in late April and early May for ages U9 through high school. While we currently cannot schedule tryout dates, we have opened registration for next year’s travel teams. In consideration for the financial challenges you may be facing, we are not charging a registration fee upon signing up for tryouts for this season. Anyone signing up will be asked to input payment info but you will not be charged until your child has made a team and you have accepted a spot on that team. However, we encourage you to sign up as soon as possible if you are interested so we can plan for tryouts.
4. Spring 2020 travel season - our travel leagues are evaluating options including an extended season. As soon as we have a definitive answer, we will share it with you, and to the extent there is not a spring season, refunds will be issued at that time.
If you have any questions, please let us know. We hope all of you and your families are doing well, and look forward to seeing our children back out on the fields as soon as we are able to do so.
